Cialis (Tadalafil)

What is Cialis?

Cialis tablets are used to treat erectile dysfunction. They work by blocking PDE5, the chemical responsible for stopping an erection. If this chemical is blocked, the arteries in the penis are able to open wider, increasing the blood flow to the penis. This means that men who are unable to achieve or maintain an erection are able to engage in satisfactory sexual intercourse. Cialis tablets contain the active ingredient tadalafil and need only 30 minutes to start working.

Can I buy Cialis online?

There are various online services providing Cialis tablets. However, many of them are illegal and may be dispensing unlicensed or fake versions of Cialis, which may not work or could even be harmful. Before you buy Cialis online, you should check whether the website you are using has been approved by the General Medical Council as well as the Care Quality Commission. If you can buy Cialis without a prescription, you are likely to be ordering from a fraudulent business. Legitimate online doctor services like DrEd offer the opportunity to obtain a prescription online and will ask you to fill in a medical questionnaire.

Cialis vs. Viagra – What is the difference?

The main difference between Cialis and Viagra lies in the time frame during which they are effective. Cialis works for a period of 36 hours. This means, that if you are sexualy stimulated within this period of time, Cialis will help you get an erection. It is often referred to as a “weekend pill”, as it allows you to have spontaneous sex several times during the specified window of time. Viagra, however, will usually only be effective for four hours and therefore requires that you plan ahead. Both Viagra and Cialis take 30 minutes to work, so you should take the tablet half an hour before intercourse.

Can I take Cialis on a daily basis?

You should only take Cialis 10mg and Cialis 20mg tablets if you expect to have sex on the same day. These dosages are not suitable for daily consumption. If you would like to use Cialis everyday, please consult your doctor. You will need to undergo a medical check-up to ascertain whether you could safely be prescribed a daily dose of 5mg to help with your erections.

Do I need a prescription for Cialis tablets?

In the UK, Cialis is only available on prescription. This means, that the tablets have to be dispensed from a licensed doctor or pharmacist. You can go to your GP to buy Tadalafil tablets or you can obtain a prescription for an erectile dysfunction treatment from us. Our team of UK-based online doctors use a questionnaire-based assessment to check which treatment is best for you. If you order before 4pm, your medication will be sent out on the same day.

What is the difference between a 5mg, 10mg and 20mg dose of Cialis?

Cialis tablets come in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg doses. The dose of your Cialis tablets tells you how much of the medicine are in them. As a rule: the higher the dose, the stronger the medication.

10mg or 20mg Cialis tablets are to be taken as and when you need them. Take your tablet about 30 minutes before you are going to have sex.

If you’re expecting to have regular sex, your doctor might recommend that you take 5mg Cialis tablets. 5mg doses of Cialis are suitable for taking everyday.

What effect does Cialis have on blood pressure?

You shouldn’t take Cialis if your blood pressure isn’t under control, or if you have low blood pressure (hypotension). Cialis can dangerously decrease your blood pressure. Make sure to check with your doctor first before taking Cialis if you have a history of low blood pressure, or heart attacks.

Lots of blood pressure medications can actually cause erectile dysfunction. If you’re taking blood pressure medicine, and find that you’re having problems with your erections, talk to your doctor about changing your medication. Most men decide that they can live with their erectile dysfunction in order to keep their blood pressure at a safe level.

Precautions

Tadalafil tablets like Cialis should be taken with extreme caution by anyone who is predisposed to prolonged erections. This includes patients suffering from:

  • sickle cell anaemia
  • multiple myeloma

Consult a doctor if you erection lasts longer than 4 hours. Delayed treatment of this condition can result in irreversible damage. Consult a doctor if you experience a sudden, partial or total loss in vision in one or both eyes.

How is Cialis taken?

You should take Cialis 20mg or 10mg tablets on an ‘as needed’ basis. This means taking it around 30 minutes prior to sex.Tadalafil tablets can be taken either with or without food and should be taken with a full glass (not just a gulp) of water. If you expect to have sex on a regular basis, you may prefer to take daily 2.5mg or 5mg doses of tadalafil. You will need to discuss this dosage with your doctor, as it may not be suitable for you.

How do I take Cialis for the first time?

If you have never taken Cialis before, you may wish to start with a 10mg dose, to see whether this dosage is effective for you. We recommend, that you allow one hour for the tablet to work if it is the first time you are using Cialis. If you feel that the effect was too strong or too weak, you can adjust the dosage accordingly the next time you take a tablet. Do not exceed the maximum dosage of 20mg.

What does Cialis contain?

Depending on the dosage, each pill may contain 10 or 20mg of tadalafil, as well as the additional non-active ingredients lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, triacetin, iron oxide yellow (E172), croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium laurilsulfate, titanium dioxide (E171), talc and hypromellose.

Cialis

Cialis Side Effects

Like all medications, Cialis has side effects that affect some men that take this medication. Some common side effects of Cialis are:

Notably, Cialis has fewer side effects than other medications used to treat erectile dysfunction. In fact, many men who experience nasal congestion, stomach pain, nausea and diarrhoea with other drugs find that Cialis doesn’t give them these symptoms.

What is Cialis?

Cialis contains the active ingredient tadalafil and is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction. It offers particularly long lasting effects in comparison to the other treatment options available and can produce results for up to 36 hours after taking a single pill in helping you to get and keep an erection.

How to take Cialis?

Cialis 36-Hour and Cialis Daily both contain the same medication but have different purposes and are there for taken differently.

How to take Cialis 36 Hour :

Take 1 tablet whole with a glass of water 30 minutes to 1 hour before planning to be sexually active. You can take it with or without food, but keep in mind it may take longer to work if taken with a heavy meal. You only need to take Cialis when you are going to be sexually active.

How to take Cialis Daily :

Take 1 tablet whole with a glass of water at the same time each day. You may take it with or without food, as it will not affect how well it works. It is important that you take it regularly every day to ensure you get the full benefit of the medication, so it can be helpful to incorporate it into your daily routine (e.g. with coffee at breakfast).

What dose should you take?

Cialis 36-Hour comes in two doses, either 10 mg or 20 mg. It is recommended to begin with the 10 mg tablet and continue if this is effective, as lower doses have less chance of side effects. If you find it is not having the desired effect on your erection after several separate attempts, you can try increasing the dose to 20 mg. If you are still not satisfied with the results, talk to your doctor about other medication solutions for you.

Cialis Daily is available in two strengths of 2.5 mg and 5 mg. Usually men begin with the 5 mg dose and adjust as needed. If you find that you are experiencing side effects or the 5 mg seems to be too strong for you, you can try decreasing the dose to 2.5 mg.

How long does it take to work?

Cialis has a benefit over other erectile dysfunction medications because it is so quick to work, often effective enough to allow sexual intercourse just 20 minutes after taking the pill. This is because it is absorbed into the body more easily and goes into action sooner. While you can take Cialis with or without food, it may take slightly longer to work if you take it with or soon after a large meal.

For Cialis Daily, it can take up to 5 days for the full effect to come into effect, as the low dose builds up gradually. However, after this time it will work continuously.

How long will it last?

Cialis has an extremely long duration of action in comparison to other erectile dysfunction medications and has been noted to work up to 36 hours after taking the pill.

Cialis Daily goes one step further to provide you with a ceaseless solution to erectile dysfunction. As it is a daily medication, you will always be ready for sexual activity.

Alternatives to Cialis

Counselling

For many men suffering from erectile dysfunction the primary cause may be related to psychological issues and not physical ones.

In these cases, counselling can prove to be a very effective form of treatment. Talking with a mental health professional will help to address issues of stress, anxiety or depression, which can all contribute to erectile dysfunction. For further information contact your GP.

Buy Cialis UK

What is it?

Cialis from £1.99 a tablet is a treatment prescribed for men with erectile dysfunction (ED), often known as male impotence. This is when a man cannot sustain an erect penis suitable for sexual activity. Cialis is the trade mark of Eli Lilly and the active ingredient in this yellow, film coated, tear drop (almond) shaped pill is Tadalafil. It is available in various strengths and pack quantities, and genuine Eli Lilly Cialis boxes will contain a batch number, an expiry date and licence number.

How does it work?

Cialis will only work following sexual stimulation which causes the blood vessels in your penis to relax, and hence an increased blood flow. The result of this is improved erections. It is important to note that it does not work if there is no sexual stimulation. You and your partner will need to engage in foreplay, just as you would if you were not taking a medicine for erectile dysfunction.

What is erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction is a medical condition when a man cannot get, or has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection long enough for sexual activity. This happens when not enough blood flows to the penis as previously described.

Male Impotence is not the same for all men. Some men are not able to get an erection at all, while others can get one but it is not hard enough for sex. Other men can get an erection but lose it before or during sexual intercourse, for others the symptoms can be intermittent. In most cases, erections will not improve without prescribed erectile dysfunction treatment.

How to take?

You should take a Cialis tablet at least 30 minutes before sexual activity, which may still be effective up to 36 hours later. Drinking alcohol may affect your ability to get an erection, and may temporarily lower your blood pressure. If you have taken or are planning to take Cialis, avoid excessive drinking (blood alcohol level of 0.08% or greater), since this may increase the risk of dizziness when standing up. You should NOT take more than once a day. 10 mg and 20 mg is intended for use prior to anticipated sexual activity and is not recommended for continuous daily use.

Possible side effects:

Like all medicines, Cialis can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. These effects are normally mild to moderate in nature.

In this leaflet, when a side effect is described as "very common" this means that it has been reported in at least 1 in 10 patients taking the medicine. When a side effect is described as "common" this means that it has been reported in more than 1 in every 100 patients but less than 1 in every 10 patients. When a side effect is described as "uncommon", this means it has been reported in more than 1 in every 1,000 patients, but less than 1 in every 100 patients. When a side effect is described as "rare", this means it has been reported in more than 1 in every 10,000 patients, but less than 1 in every 1,000 patients.

Common side effect are:

Headaches and indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, facial flushing, nasal congestion, dizziness, pounding heartbeat sensation, abdominal pain and reflux.

Uncommon side effects are:

Allergic reactions including rashes and hives, blurred vision, swelling of the eyelids, eye pain, red eyes, increased sweating, nose bleeds, a fast heart rate, high blood pressure, low blood pressure and chest pain. In case of chest pain occurring during or after sexual activity you should NOT use nitrates but you should seek immediate medical assistance.

Rare side effects in patients taking include:

Fainting, migraine and swelling of the face. In rare instances it is possible that a prolonged and possibly painful erection may occur after taking Cialis. If you have such an erection, which lasts continuously for more than 4 hours, you should contact a doctor immediately.

Heart attack and stroke have also been reported rarely in men taking Cialis. Most, but not all of these men had known heart problems before taking this medicine. It is not possible to determine whether these events were directly related to Cialis.

Partial, sudden, temporary, or permanent decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes has been rarely reported.

Some additional side effects have been reported in men taking Cialis that were not seen in clinical trials and their incidence is unknown. These include seizures and passing memory loss, some disorders affecting blood flow to the eyes, irregular heartbeats and angina, serious skin rashes and sudden cardiac death. Sudden decrease or loss of hearing has been reported.

Effects were seen in one animal species that might indicate impairment of fertility. Subsequent studies in man suggest that this effect is unlikely in humans, although a decrease in sperm concentration was seen in some men.

If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not take:

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to tadalafil or any of the other ingredients of Cialis.
If you are taking any form of organic nitrate or nitric oxide donors such as amyl nitrite. This is a group of medicines ("nitrates") used in the treatment of angina pectoris ("chest pain"). Cialis has been shown to increase the effects of these medicines.
If you are taking any form of nitrate or are unsure tell your doctor.
If you have serious heart disease or have had a recent heart attack.
If you have had a recent stroke
If you have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
If you have ever had loss of vision because of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition sometimes described as "stroke of the eye".

Take special care.

Be aware that sexual activity carries a possible risk to patients with heart disease because it puts an extra strain on your heart. If you have a heart problem you should tell your doctor.

The following are reasons why Cialis may also not be suitable for you. If any of them apply to you, talk to your doctor before you take the medicine:

You have sickle cell anaemia (an abnormality of red blood cells), multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow), leukaemia (cancer of the blood cells) or any deformation of your penis.
You have a serious liver problem.
You have a severe kidney problem.
It is not known if Cialis is effective in patients who have undergone pelvic surgery or radical non-nerve-sparing prostatectomy.
If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking Cialis and contact your doctor immediately.
Cialis is not intended for use by women or by adolescents under the age of 18.

Using other medicines

Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicine, including medicines obtained without prescription, because they might interact.

This is particularly important if you are treated with nitrates as you should not take Cialis if you are taking these medicines.

A type of medicine called an alpha blocker is sometimes used to treat high blood pressure and enlarged prostate. Tell your doctor if you are being treated for either of these conditions or if you take other medicines to treat high blood pressure.

If you are taking medicines that can inhibit an enzyme called CYP3A4 (for example ketoconazole or protease inhibitors for treatment of HIV) the frequency of side effects might increase.

Do not take Cialis with other medicines if your doctor tells you that you may not.
You should not use Cialis together with any other treatments for erectile dysfunction.

Taking with food and drink

You may take Cialis with or without food.

Driving and using machines

Some men taking Cialis in clinical studies have reported dizziness. Check carefully how you react to the medicines before driving or using any machinery.
